Optillion Internet Marketing Ltd
Optillion is an Internet Marketing Company based in the East Midlands. Our clients cover a wide variety of markets and range in size from self-employed individuals to multi-national corporations. Our main body of work is involved with Search Engine optimisation - making clients sites perform better in search engine results pages. This is done by changing (unseen) parts of the websites pages to make them more search engine friendly, making the site appear more popular by increasing the number of external websites that link into it and through various methods of Search Engine Marketing. Search Engine Marketing involves running advertising campaigns for clients - typically focused on the 'sponsored' listings on the right hand side of a search engine results page, providing data feeds for products to appear in Google's Shopping index, building corporate pages on Social media sites to drive interested visitors and producing press releases and articles for submission to article syndication sites. More of this work involves the production of well formed persuasive and compelling text for inclusion in clients web pages, articles, press releases, advertising and social media sites.
Reporting to the directors of the company, the candidate had a good knowledge of written English and was able to produce compelling text on almost any subject (technical detail was provided by the client) to an agreed time frame. The work involved a number of different copy writing roles which included carry out detailed research, inputting his own ideas and writing on a wide variety of topics. He wrote some ghost articles for Derwent Living’s blog and worked on improving SEO web tags for many of Optillion’s clients. He’s also been involved with ‘pay for click’ advertising, using social media platforms to encourage website interaction and has drafted a number of press releases. He has been able to use and develop his writing, research and analytical skills during this internship and has learnt how to tailor how articles are written to create impact, interest and style depending on the subject matter and audience.

Great work experience, with several completed projects under my belt.
“We are extremely happy with how things went with Daniel and the internship. We have had an intern in the past that was less successful and feel their decision to try again has been rewarded.”
